We want to make it as easy as possible for our members to be able to sign up for
missions both home and away. So we have a form you can fill out online and
submit that will list different opportunities as they become available so you
will want to check this page often.
Currently we have the 'God Loves DeSoto' (GLD) ministries that you can
sign up for on an ongoing basis as opportunities become available. The
options on the form will change as events approach. Some options will
always be there as they are ongoing, such as Angel Food.
As we have mission trips planned, those will also become options on the form.
Community Thanksgiving Day Meal
Currently we are recruiting volunteers for the Community
Thanksgiving Day Meal, especially if you have been through the Basic Sanitation
class offered through the Jefferson County Health Dept. and have a copy of your
current certificate. (Certificates are good for 3 years).
Areas to serve that we need at least 50% of our volunteers
to have Basic Sanitation certificates are:
Cooks
Servers
Packers (for to go meals)
Other areas that do not require certification are:
Delivery drivers
Greeters
Clean Up
Prayer team
Decorations
When you fill out the form put which area listed above you would like to serve
in the Other: field. If you sign up for an area that we need basic
sanitation certification in, please indicate if you have a copy of your
certificate as the health dept. looks at those when they inspect.
We are working toward getting a binder together of copies of everyone's
certificates that we can keep at the church so that you do not have to bring
them to each event. So if you have one, bring it to church and we will get
it copied and put in the binder.
Please send any specific information about the options
you choose that you need us to know such as availability etc. If you are
wanting to sign up for several missions / ministries, submit a separate form for
each.
If you have a desire to serve in another capacity for example, teaching
Sunday School, or working in AWANA's choose the other option, a brief
description of what you are interested in goes in the other text box. Any other
information you would like to pass along to us would go in the comments.

charge of that area of ministry and they will contact you about your desire to
serve.
