Welcome to Grace Way Kids! I hope this webpage will be helpful in defining the ministries we have for your children. The Bible promises “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart’” (Jeremiah 29:11-13). First Baptist DeSoto desires that your children experience a full and meaningful life. We believe that life is in Jesus. Each children’s ministry is focused on your child’s learning to know and live for Jesus. God has created each child for a special purpose, and He desires to share that plan with them. As they live out that plan, they can truly have a full and meaningful life.

Sunday Mornings | 9:30 AM – Family Worship
Our week begins together in Family Worship at 9:30. Little ones are lovingly cared for with childcare available for babies through preschool (up to age 4). We also offer a cozy Baby & Mom Room tucked in the back hallway of our children’s wing—perfect for those moments when you need a quiet space
10:45 AM – Sunday School for All Ages
After worship, the learning continues! At 10:45, we offer Sunday School classes for every age and stage of life—from our youngest children to adults. It’s a wonderful opportunity to dive deeper into God’s Word, build meaningful friendships, and grow together as a church family.
Sunday Evenings | 6:00 PM – Faith & Fun for All Ages
We gather again at 6:00 PM for a vibrant evening on campus! Our youth group meets, and kids dive into engaging classes designed just for them. It’s a wonderful time to connect, grow, and build friendships.
Good News Club – After School Adventures
Throughout the school year, we bring the fun to local schools with Good News Club! Once a week, kids enjoy Bible lessons, upbeat songs, and exciting games led by our amazing volunteers. It’s a highlight of the week for so many students!
Summer Highlights – VBS & Camp
Summer is packed with unforgettable moments:
Vacation Bible School – For kids ages 4 through incoming 5th grade! We kick things off with a family celebration on Sunday evening, then kids return Monday–Wednesday from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM for high-energy worship, creative lessons, and tons of fun.
Camp Sunago – At the end of July, students who have completed 3rd–6th grade head to beautiful Pinecrest Campground for a life-changing week at Camp Sunago. It’s a time filled with growing closer to Jesus, building lasting friendships, and making memories that truly last a lifetime.
Winter Fun – Upward Sports
When the weather turns cold, the gym heats up with Upward Sports Basketball and Cheerleading for Kindergarten through High School. Each season, more than 350 kids participate! It’s an incredible opportunity to build skills, confidence, character, and faith—all while having a blast.
